MawNote Privacy Policy

Blacktech Internet CO., LTD.(hereinafter “the Company”) operates “MawNote” (hereinafter “the Service”) and values your privacy. The Company processes personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act of the Republic of China and applicable regulations.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Matters not addressed herein may be supplemented in the Terms of Service.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to the personal data processing carried out by the Company when you access the Service through the LINE Official Account, LIFF, the Company's official website, or other channels provided by the Company. For data collection and use by third-party platforms or integrated services (such as communication, cloud storage, payment, or tools you connect yourself), please also refer to the respective privacy policies of those services.

2. Types of Data Collected

Depending on how you use the Service, the Company may collect the following types of data (not all may apply to every user):

  • Account and Identity Data: Such as user identifiers, display names, and profile pictures provided by the communication platform, as well as email addresses you choose to link.
  • Content You Provide: Such as text, voice, images, files, and related metadata, used to provide note-taking, synchronization, backup, and AI-assisted features.
  • Usage and Transaction Information: Such as subscription status and billing-related records (specific fields and retention periods depend on legal requirements and operational needs).
  • Security and Connection Information: Such as IP addresses, device types, or browser types used for account security and fraud prevention purposes (as applicable).

Payment card numbers, full account credentials, and other highly sensitive payment information are processed directly by our partner payment processors in accordance with their procedures and regulations; the Company does not store such complete data itself.

3. Purposes of Use

The Company may collect, process, and use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service (including customer support, notifications, and dispute handling).
  • To fulfill contractual obligations and maintain billing, invoice, or legally required records.
  • To engage AI or cloud service providers to process content you provide in order to deliver the features you request.
  • To maintain system and account security, and prevent abuse and fraud.
  • To conduct service analysis and quality improvement using de-identified or statistical methods, as permitted by law.

4. Outsourcing, Cross-Border Transfer, and Third Parties

Except as otherwise required by law or this Policy, the Company will not use your personal notes or related content to train AI models, nor will it sell or disclose such content for marketing purposes. To fulfill AI features you use, your content may be processed by third-party providers to the extent necessary to deliver those features; please also refer to those providers' public statements regarding how they store or use data.

To provide the Service, the Company may share data with partners including cloud hosting, AI, communication, payment processing, analytics, and integration services you actively enable, processed within the necessary scope. Some partners may be located overseas, which may involve cross-border data transfers.

The Company uses contracts, policy assessments, and reasonable technical and administrative measures to mitigate risks, but cannot guarantee that third-party environments fully meet all requirements under Taiwan law. Please avoid storing highly sensitive personal data in the Service (such as full national ID numbers, bank passwords, unencrypted medical records, or other extremely sensitive data).

5. Data Security

The Company implements reasonable, industry-standard technical and administrative measures — including but not limited to encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and least-privilege access — to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure; you should also take care to protect your own devices and account credentials.

6. Retention Period

Personal data is retained for the period necessary to fulfill the purpose of collection, as required by contract or applicable law. Following your request to delete your account or data, the Company will complete deletion or de-identification within a reasonable time, subject to data that must be retained by law (such as accounting or tax records).

7. Your Rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Act, you may exercise your rights to inquire, review, obtain copies, supplement or correct, delete, and suspend the collection, processing, or use of your personal data held by the Company. The Company may refuse or restrict certain requests in legally prescribed circumstances.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Company's website or web-based services may use cookies or similar technologies to maintain login state, security, and preference settings. The Company does not operate a personal data sales business, nor does it use your data for advertising tracking as a primary purpose in ways not described in this Policy.

9. Minors
